Public Anger over the Hayat Hotel Fiasco

Mogadishu is reeling and public anger is palpable two days after heavily armed al-Shabab militants stormed Hayat Hotel, one of the city’s supposedly secure hotels.

The president of the breakaway region of Somaliland visited Israel & just signed far-reaching deals in Jerusalem with Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the ICC. The federal gov't simply issued a press release calling on Israel to "respect the sovereignty & territorial integrity of Somalia."
